  • Proof of date of birth (Birth Certificate/ 10th Mark sheet/ Passport)

  • Photographs: 8 Passport size photographs each and coloured marriage photographs (HMA)

  • Wedding Invitation Card (HMA)
  • Witness (2 in case of HMA and 3 in case of SMA) ID proof and Address proof)

  • Divorce Decree (if applicable)

  • Death certificate of previous spouse (if applicable)

  • Online Application- Submit an online application on government portal and upload all the documents and photographs required

  • Book Appointment at government office

  • Visit the government office (Both parties and two witnesses must be physically present)

  • Signature and Verification in front of government officer

  SPECIAL MARRIAGE ACT

  • Online Application- Submit an online application on government portal and upload all the documents and photographs required.

  • Book Appointment at government office for first visit (Both parties and three witnesses must be physically present).

  • Notice Period of 30 days applicable and after completing the notice period timeline again both parties and three witnesses must appear and sign the documents in front of government officer.

  • Marriage certificate is most probably issued on the same day post solemnization.
